Down In a Hole

Im a 22 year old guy who at this point in life is down in a hole. I just don't know what to do anymore. I'm in a panic state of mind right now. I live in a tourist city so work for the most part is seasonal. Im collecting E.I. at the moment so money is coming in but nothing to be proud about. I am longing for an intimate relationship with someone but theres so many mental blocks that I put myself through.

I'm not conceded or anything like that but I know I am a stand-up guy and would treat anyone with love and respect, the way there meant to be treated. But are their still women out their looking for that kind of guy.?

Before I just went into life with an "I don't care" attitude. Just lived life in the short term. I had some fun on the side but now I feel like I am changing or maturing. I know what I want now but my thoughts are all over the place and I just need some advice.

Employment and Love are my two main goals right now but also the reason of my stress. I dont know what to do.

Forum: Depression help

The road to success

The road to success is not as sweet as its reward, it is the complete opposite of your reward, you need to work hard and persevere in order to put into rtealization the desire of your heart.
In the many motivational books that I have read, the best for me passage so far is that which John Maxwell has written--"Start! you motivation will be seen when you see your results!" -- This is very true, simply because the person who does a thing that is of great importance to him/her will never see the results when he/she stops the battle.
We all need to persevere if we want to succeed!

Forum: Self Esteem

Winning through actions!

Any momentary triumph you think you have gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: the resentment and ill will you stir up are stronger and last longer than any other momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions , without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate.

Forum: Self Esteem

New here, need help

Hello. I'm dealing with a lot of stuff in my life right now. I'm about to loose my house, haven't paid my unimportant (credit cards) for months. My husband of 20 years is tired of being around me. He has found a friend that he enjoys spending time with. And I'm supposed to just deal with it. He says that they haven't had sex, and I somewhat believe him. But it is still something that CAN happen. He says that he would rather die than to not have his "me" time. I went to the Dr. today to talk about my last blood test that might have shown that I have kidney failure. I did more tests today to determine what is going on. I am over weight (although lost 20 lbs since Feb), have hypothyroidism. I asked the Dr. to give me something for depression and he gave me 2 weeks worth of Pristiq. In reading the info on it, it should not be taken if there is any kidney problems. What do I do?????
If I didn't have my three kids to take care of (i'm the only one working in the home) I wouldn't be here.
I'm lost, I'm loosing my house, my mind and my husband. Husband has his own health (mental and physical) issues. He says that he doesn't have much time left on this earth, so he wants to have fun before he dies. He just doesn't want to have that fun with me, doesn't even want to try.
Can anyone help? I seem to just not care about anything anymore.

Forum: Depression help
